Rates are market mid-rates from a public exchange-rate feed (USD base, updated daily). Banks, cash exchanges and card providers apply their own margins, so the amount you actually receive can differ. Exchange-rate data is cached and may be up to a day old; the converter always shows the rate timestamp.
