How the calculation works
- 1 troy ounce = 31.1034768 grams; 1 kilogram = 1000 grams; 1 tola = 11.6638038 grams.
- Pure (24K) price per gram = spot price per ounce / 31.1034768.
- Other purities multiply by karat / 24 (22K = 22/24, 18K = 18/24, and so on). The purity factor is applied exactly once.
- Currency conversion uses the current market exchange rate (USD base).
- Making charges and extra costs are added, then the discount percentage is applied to the subtotal.
